While living on Long Island in the 1980’s, Anita created and owned a N.Y. Times-recommended vegetarian restaurant, Sunflower Café, as well as a popular vegetarian cooking school, The Whole Foods Kitchen. Together with Tim, as part of their active Hallelujah Health Ministry in Boynton Beach, FL, they have been preparing gourmet vegan fare for family, friends, students and enthusiastic followers of the living foods lifestyle since 2003. The two have a definite gift and love for teaching. Tim has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998, specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD/ Vodder), neuromuscular, medical and Swedish Massage techniques, and has been teaching courses in Massage Therapy at the Florida Career College since 2004. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer. Anita has been an elementary, adult, and dance educator for over 30 years. As a devoted married couple, Tim and Anita are now living their dream of owning a beautiful Lifestyle Center where they can share their love for people, and their contagious passion for God’s plan for optimal health in mind, body and spirit.

Directions to Lake Lure, NC Driving This Lifestyle Center is located mid-way between Mill Spring and Lake Lure, NC , in the southwestern part of North Carolina. If you will be driving from Hallelujah Acres® headquarters in Shelby, NC, the Lifestyle Center is just 50 miles west. Take US Hwy 74 West to Exit 167 (toward Mill Spring), and turn right onto NC Hwy 9. For directions to Lake Lure from another area, please click here. Airport The nearest airport servicing this Lifestyle Center location is Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP), located just one hour south in South Carolina. When you fly in, you can either rent a car and drive north to the Lifestyle Center, or your hosts will be happy to provide you with pick-up service for a nominal fee. See the reservations page for fee listings. If you will be driving to the Lifestyle Center from the airport, take I-85 North (toward Spartanburg) to I-26 West (toward Asheville); from there, take US Hwy 74 East and Exit NC Hwy 9 toward Mill Spring. If you would like to take advantage of the pick-up service, please contact the Lifestyle Center after you have made your reservation. The Lake Lure Lifestyle Center is located just four miles south of scenic Lake Lure, NC, at the base of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, making it the perfect backdrop for your stay with us.
Since the Lifestyle Center is close to two beautiful lakes, there are plenty of recreational attractions in the area, the best-known and most-visited being Lake Lure; it is only 4˝ miles away from the Lifestyle Center and one of our field trips will take you there (weather permitting). And because temperatures are moderate year round - cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter – outdoor activities and events are possible through all the seasons.
Each guest bedroom is large and has a private bath. Most bedrooms accommodate two full beds. When this Lifestyle Center has a full program, Tim and Anita will assign two guests per room. In the case where you would like to share a room with someone who is attending the program with you, please include this information at the time of registration.
